With a small additional charge, this 2-day NewLink Wales course can be accredited through Agored Cymru gaining 3 credits and level 3 on the Quality Assured Lifelong Learning Framework for Wales.
This includes 2 day facilitation, handouts, refreshments and a buffet lunch
NewLink Wales has been delivering substance misuse awareness training for over 13 years, all our trainers are experienced professionals who have worked in the substance misuse field and can bring real example of working with substance users.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of the course participants should be able to:
 

– Define the most commonly used categories of substances and their effects
– Identify the most commonly used substances and their methods of use
– Discuss the different patterns of substance use
– Examine the impact that different attitudes and stereotyping has on individuals who use substances
– Select appropriate treatment and support models for substance users

All of the Newlink Wales courses are designed within National Occupational standards.
