As a social enterprise, a continual concern is how to improve the quality of service you provide for your stakeholders – which areas need attention, which are working well, etc. Combined with a pressure to spend money wisely, it can sometimes be difficult to see where to innovate in your organisation. Given the additional pressures of maintaining accountability and transparency to investors and board members, this can lead an organisation to rocky waters.

SROI, or Social Return on Investment, can provide a solution. It is a methodology for measuring social value which engages with stakeholders and analyses your activities by prioritising what matters to the people who use your service. This information can then guide the future direction of an organisation, inform difficult decisions about where to invest resources to maximise social value and even act as an evaluative tool to highlight areas for improvement.

The 2-day practitioner training provides a thorough overview of SROI from two main angles. The first day gives a practical, interactive, step-by-step introduction to the process of SROI via a case study that participants can bring along. The second day covers the more theoretical basis that underpins SROI, together with an exploration of issues that practitioners will need to demonstrate an understanding of if they wish to become accredited. All training is delivered by SROI Network accredited practitioners and is suitable for any experience level.
