Preventing homelessness: a seminar of best practice supported by the Oak Foundation
A seminar of best practice
Preventing homelessness has rarely been more challenging for all agencies working to keep people in their homes. Yet there are some brilliant services achieving amazing results in these austerity-driven times.
Supported by the Oak Foundation, Shelter Cymru’s event, Preventing homelessness: a seminar of good practice is bringing together some of the most innovative approaches to homelessness prevention from across Wales and the UK.
Shelter Cymru’s ‘Temporary Accommodation Survival Guide’, a resource to help people cope and increase their chances of making it through to settled accommodation, will be launched at the event. The Guide has been developed by people who have been in temporary accommodation themselves and know first-hand what the pitfalls are.
You will also hear about the results of Shelter Cymru’s research on prison leavers and people with autism.
Fee £50, free places for service users.
