Launch of ‘The Filter’ – a new service for young people

10th January 2013 @ 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm

The Filter, a new service for young people, is being launched on 10 January.

The service includes:

– A quit line with phone, text and online instant messenger support for anyone in Wales who’s under 25 and wants to give up smoking or learn more about the effects of tobacco.
– Training for young people and adults about smoking, the effects of tobacco and how to support others to give up.
– Volunteering opportunities both in person and online.
– A film competition where young people can win prizes for making 2-minute adverts showing their friends why smoking is a bad idea.
– A website packed with resources and social media where anyone can ask questions and start discussions about smoking.

There will be music, performances, free food, and interactive workshops. Tickets are FREE.

If you’re a professional who wants to come along please reserve a ‘guest’ ticket – and it’d be great if you could bring along any young people you work with. If you can, all you need to do is reserve ‘VIP’ tickets for the number of people you’ll be bringing with you.
