IWA Debate: Should the Brexit deal for Wales include the free movement of people?

In partnership with Cardiff University

With a debate on whether Parliament can trigger Article 50 and begin the UK’s withdrawal from the EU currently ensuing, there is an increasing focus on what the Brexit deal will include.

Central to this are discussions around the free movement of people to and from Europe, and the next IWA Debate in partnership with Cardiff University will look to discuss this divisive issue within a Welsh context.

IWA is pleased to announce the full lineup for this exciting debate will be:

  • Marley Morris, Research Fellow, IPPR
  • Alp Mehmet MVO, Vice Chair, Migration Watch
  • Noreen Blanluet, Public Services Consultant

The distinguished panel join BBC Cymru Wales’ Arwyn Jones, Chair of the event. 

Professor Roger Scully, Acting Director of the Wales Governance Centre at Cardiff University will also offer statistical insight into the Welsh public’s opinion of free movement of people in a post-Brexit world.
