IWA Coffee Shop Debate @ Chapter
7th May 2013 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
A number of Wales’s largest and most successful commercial enterprises are co-operatives or mutually owned businesses (i.e. Dwr Cymru, The John Lewis Partnership, The Principality Building Society and The Co-operative Group).
With the Welsh Government establishing a Co-operative Commission to consider the role of the co-operative sector in Welsh economy of the future, and twelve months after a significant IWA/Co-operative Group fact-finding visit to the Mondragon Corporation in the Basque Country, this debate will put the case that the co-operative and mutual sector can be the catalyst to re-invigorate the Welsh economy.
