Introductory Certificate in Fundraising
The Introductory Certificate in Fundraising is the first stage in the Institute of Fundraising Professional Qualification Framework and will provide you with a basic knowledge and understanding of fundraising and the sector itself, the surrounding legal framework and introduce you to some fundamental fundraising tools and techniques.
The course consists of four units:
- The Fundraising Environment
- Role of Fundraising
- Fundraising Skills
- Learning about Fundraising
Delegates will receive a certificate of attendance if they complete the day, and will be encouraged to move on to higher-level training where appropriate.

Fee (includes lunch and refreshments): £75 payable on booking.
Then after attending the course you can pay a further optional £125 via the IoF website to achieve the ICiF qualification. This fee comprises one year’s annual membership of the Institute (at a discount of 50%), plus £75 to complete the online assessment.
