International Treatment Effectiveness Project Training

30th January 2014

International Treatment Effectiveness Project (ITEP) is a mechanism by which quality of drug treatment can be developed and measured in order to improve delivery of treatment services. It uses mind maps as a visual cognitive tool to help clients organise their thoughts and goals easily, by focusing on images and association.

This NewLink Wales training course focuses on the two approaches that are designed to be delivered by key workers as part of their client work sessions. This model of psychosocial interventions provides evidence based and easily evaluated tools for use by key workers across the drug treatment system and throughout the health and social care sector.

Voluntary Sector Workers £125.00
Statutory Sector Workers – £135.00

This includes facilitation, handouts, refreshments and a buffet lunch

By the end of the course  you will have:

– Identify what International Treatment Effectiveness Project (ITEP) is and what it involves.
– Explain the use of free mapping and structured mapping for personal use, service user work and supervision settings.
– Examine the use of mind maps, ways of thinking and cycles in motivation, bringing about change and the development of care plans.
– Select the appropriate maps to practice use to maximise confidence and adapt to current and future working roles.
