The aim of this one-day WCVA training course is to assist staff in the third sector to work with local politicians in order to influence policy decisions and legislation

Assembly Members and Members of Parliament are subject to considerable lobbying but they are generally keen to
support causes they believe in, so how can we get them to support the campaigns we believe in? How can we develop the confidence to engage with the political process?

Whether you want to influence Government decisions, Assembly legislation or the manifestos of the main political parties, this course will help you to navigate the political process and make it work for your organisation.

This course will help develop the skills to get your organisation’s objectives higher up their list of priorities.

The course is designed for staff working in any third sector organisation in Wales, board members of voluntary organisations and charities and anyone who wants to have a better understanding of how the sector can be more engaged in the political process.
