This event will explore some of the key issues and ways of ensuring that current and future housing supply and options meet and take into consideration the needs of equality groups. This event will look at:

– Inclusive Design and Location: meeting the needs of diverse groups
– Shared Ownership Schemes: how to make this and other affordable ownership options attractive to diverse groups
– Cooperative and Co-housing Models: examples of using these models to address the needs of specific groups
– Private Rented Sector: working with landlords and vulnerable groups
– Accessible Communication: practical session on making housing options information accessible to different groups
– Local Housing Market Needs Assessments: considering diverse needs for future housing development

This seminar will be of interest to housing strategy officers, homelessness officers, development officers, housing officers, communications officers, social letting agency staff, communication staff, third sector organisations supporting individuals in the private rented sector and other interested parties.
