Housing and the Law training course
If you work within housing and wish to consolidate and build upon your existing knowledge and experience, then book your place on this Shelter Cymru course. It is also well suited to those wishing to get an update on how the law stands today.
This course aims to increase delegates’ knowledge in the key areas of housing law so they can improve their ability to offer support to those living in social housing.
The course content includes:
– through information sessions and group work delegates will learn about different types of occupancy agreement and where they can be found
– how tenancies vary between council, housing association and private sector
– the rights occupiers have to keep their home, and their responsibilities to their landlord
– right to repair in rented accommodation
– assistance available from local authorities for homeless people
