Housing and the Law training
Aims:
This Shelter Cymru course aims to increase delegates knowledge in the key areas of housing law so they can improve their ability to offer support to those living in social housing.
The course includes:
– through information sessions and group work delegates will learn aboutdifferent types of occupancy agreement and where they can be found
– how tenancies vary between council, housing association and private sector
– the rights occupiers have to keep their home, and their responsibilities to their landlord
– right to repair in rented accommodation
– assistance available from local authorities for homeless people

Those working within housing who wish to consolidate and build upon their existing knowledge and experience, as well as those wishing to get an update on how the law stands today.
