Healthy Working Wales Employer Support Event on Alcohol and Substance Misuse

The Welsh Government and Public Health Wales invite you to attend a free employer support event on managing alcohol and substance misuse in the workplace.
The event will include advice on supporting staff with alcohol and substance misuse issues to remain in work, and provide information on wider support for health and well-being in the workplace. Speakers will include WCADA (Welsh Centre for Action on Dependency and Addiction), Drugaid Wales and Alcohol Concern Cymru.

What will happen at the event?
The employer support event will deliver presentations on managing alcohol and substance misuse in the workplace, together with an informal environment for employers to network and ask questions. The awards ceremony aspect will celebrate the success of the latest businesses and organisations to achieve Healthy Working Wales awards (Corporate Health Standard and Small Workplace Health Award).

  

What are the benefits of attending the event?
The event will provide an opportunity to hear presentations from other businesses and organisations on managing alcohol and substance misuse, and the Corporate Health Standard. It will also offer an opportunity for networking with other health-promoting employers, from the private, public and third sectors. The event will be supported by access to the expertise of partner organisations, including Public Health Wales, and free
resources. You will also receive information on the free support and advice available to employers through ‘Healthy Working Wales’, the Welsh Government’s workplace health programme.
