This BAWSO workshop is funded by the Forced Marriage Unit and is for service providers and professionals.

This is a practical workshop on:

– Law in relation to forced marriage and use of Forced Marriage Protection Orders
– Other legal remedies available to protect victims, including divorce and annulment proceedings, financial relief, Children Act proceedings, child abduction, child maintenance and legal aid
– Proposed implementation of new criminal offence of forced marriage
– Delivering effective support to victims
