Funding streams for community safety in Wales are changing and grant funding is becoming more challenging to secure. Third sector organisations increasingly need to diversify their income sources by incorporating strategies and techniques to achieve a sustainable funding base. Tendering for the delivery of services under the terms of a contract is one option that can be considered to generate income.

This short introductory course is intended to provide a brief overview of tendering in this context.

The course aims:

– To improve understanding of the differences between grants and contracts
– To increase knowledge in the area of procurement
– To better understand the process of tendering for a contract
