Energy Management 2013

25th July 2013 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Energy costs have increased by an average of 246% for businesses over the past seven years.* This upward trend is having a profound impact on the ability of the public sector to continually deliver services within a tight budget. This seminar will share how public sector organisations are addressing the need for better energy management – to do more with less.

Benefits of attending
The Wales Audit Office, WLGA and Good Practice Wales are holding a free, interactive seminar to bring together the most up-to-date practices from across Wales and beyond. Delegates will share and learn different approaches to energy management. By the end of the seminar, delegates will be able to select from and adapt approaches to suit their own energy management needs, enabling them to achieve more with less.

The seminar will consist of two showcase plenary sessions:
• Lessons in Carbon-Neutral Building. Diageo
• Making the Most of Metering. Carbon Trust Wales, Lee Evans and Paul Manley

And a choice of attending two of the following workshops:
1 How to Get Leadership Buy-In. Wrexham County Borough Council, Renia Kotynia
2 Behaviour Change in Energy Usage. Sheffield University, Kim Croasdale
3 Shedding light on LEDs. Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, Geoff Walsh
4 Managing Water in Any Type of Estate. Dwr Cymru, Andy Blackhall
