Employment law and safeguarding update

An opportunity to get your organisation up to scratch on its employment law and safeguarding responsibilities. This session, jointly delivered by Hugh James Solicitors and WCVA’s specialist Criminal Records Unit, will blend theory with practical case examples to give those with management responsibilities the knowledge and skills to nip potential staffing issues in the bud before they have a chance to escalate.
It also offers an exploration of the safeguarding responsibilities for third sector organisations, together with guidance on safer recruitment of staff and volunteers including DBS checks, and the circumstances in which checks are not available.
