Tai Pawb is excited this year’s national equality and diversity in housing conference, Creating Homes 2014, will be held on Thursday 16^th October 2014.

Last year’s event was a fantastic success and we are planning on holding an even bigger, better event this year. The agenda for the day is currently being finalised, but we can already reveal that confirmed are:

• Carl Sargeant AM, Minister for Housing and Regeneration
• Equality and Housing case law update from Hugh James Solicitors
• Panel session on diverse views on domestic abuse
• Workshops including hate crime, tenant and staff wellbeing and adapted housing

Booking for the event will be opening soon, and both exhibition and sponsorship opportunities will be available.

The event will be followed by the Tai Pawb AGM.

The Hate Crime and Social Housing: Policy and Practice Update at the conference – the latest Welsh Government toolkit on hate crime prepared in partnership with Tai Pawb. Research has already shown that most reported hate crime in Wales happens in or around people’s homes. The toolkit will contain practical tips and plenty of good practice examples of how to make sure hate crime policies and practices are up to scratch.
