Providing nutrition care for older people
This half-day course helps you to recognise how food and nutrition contribute to health and well being of older people. It is delivered by local public health dietitians.
The course is aimed at:
Anyone working with older people in residential, community or domiciliary settings.
Learning outcomes
· Describe how the “Eatwell Plate” applies to older people
· Explain the nutritional needs of older people
· Identify risk factors for malnutrition and ways to minimise risk
· Describe ways to promote good nutrition among older people
