Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

10th June 2014

CBT is a psychotherapeutic approach to problem solving and reaching goals is future focussed – although we seek to understand how past events led the person to where they are now, the approach is very much about moving on. CBT has a massive evidence base and it allows the practitioner to explore the links between thoughts (cognitions), feelings and behaviour – especially if any of these elements are identified as “dysfunctional”.

CBT is used with a variety of different disorders ranging from mild anxiety and depression to more complex mental health problems such as eating disorders, complex trauma and psychosis.
This NewLink Wales training course focuses on the key approaches that are designed to be delivered by key workers as part of their client work sessions. This model of psychotherapeutic interventions provides evidence based and easily evaluated tools for use by key workers across the drug treatment system and throughout the health and social care sector.

Voluntary Sector Workers – £125.00
Statutory Sector Workers – £135.00
