A celebration of those grandparents, siblings and other relatives who take on the care of children because the parents can no longer care for them.

This Buttle UK event will also be a chance to hear about the findings of a groundbreaking piece of research on the issue: ‘The Poor Relations? Children and Informal Kinship Carers Speak Out’.

Ann Jones AM, Chair of the Children and Young People Committee, will chair the event. Professor Elaine Farmer from the University of Bristol will present the key findings of the research. The research was funded by the Big Lottery Fund, commissioned by Buttle UK and undertaken by the University of Bristol.

A sandwich lunch will be provided.
