C3SC Training: Emergency First Aid at Work

C3SC has partnered with Ulearn to provide this much requested course for staff, volunteers and trustees alike. The course covers first response for the most likely accidents and incidents.
The course will cover:
- The role of the first aider
- Communicating with a casualty
- Contents of first aid kits (and avoid cross infection)
- Recording of incidents and accidents
- Assessing situations and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
- Administer first aid to a casualty who:
– is unconscious
– requires cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
– is choking
– is wounded or bleeding
– is in shock
– has head injuries
– has broken bones
– suffering with anaphylactic shock and use of epi-pen
– has minor conditions – to include: minor cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns & scalds, small splinters
This is an accredited course, and participants wishing to claim accreditation are asked to bring photo ID with them, such as driving licence / passport. This is a requirement from the Awarding Body.
Please ensure you have a pen and writing paper for any notes you may wish to take. However a course manual will be provided. We recommend that you wear suitable, comfortable clothing as the course contains a practical element.
