This course explores how to maximise fundraising opportunities by working with local communities and demonstrates the importance of taking a marketing approach to identify appropriate fundraising activities.
The course also emphasises the importance of good practice in the management of volunteers, including planning fundraising activity, and recruiting, supporting and developing volunteers to achieve fundraising success. It also introduces the concept of leadership and the importance of communicating an appealing vision that is attractive to volunteers.
By the end of the session you will know how to:

• Develop appropriate cases for support
• Develop a network of local groups
• Recruit, manage and support fundraising volunteers
• Plan your own community fundraising activity
