Session Title: Maximising Gift Aid
Aim of Session: to introduce local not for profit organisations to Gift Aid and how to maximise their income from it.
By the end of the session, you should be able to:
• Understand the benefits of registering with HMRC for tax purposes
• Describe the basic requirements of a Gift Aid declaration
Explain the range of activities on which Gift Aid can be claimed
• Understand the importance of keeping records for audit by HMRC
