Axis All Areas Toolkit Training
NewLink Wales is proud to present this toolkit which will assist those working with individuals who experience issues with substance misuse. The toolkit contains guidance and psychosocial intervention tools for assessing cultural needs, exploring key issues and understanding substance misuse within a variety of cultural contexts.
The toolkit aims to ensure services and interventions are delivered in a culturally appropriate manner to maximise their effectiveness.
The pack also includes tools which can be used in supervision to develop awareness among practitioners about their own cultural standpoint and how this impacts on their word view. From this, the practitioner and the service user can meaningfully explore their cultural compatibility and be open about how cultural needs can be fully met.

• Investigate how to overcome the barriers communities face in accessing services through use of the toolkit
All of the NewLink Wales courses are designed within National Occupational Standards.
