Young People Speak out (YPSO) presents the Asylum Monologues ‘Testimonies of young people seeking asylum’
To celebrate Welsh Refugee Week 2012, and with the support of the Welsh Refugee Council, Young People Speak Out (YPSO) is hosting a rehearsed reading of Asylum Monologues, followed by a panel discussion on issues affecting refugees and asylum seeking young people.
Asylum Monologues is a script about the experiences of young people seeking sanctuary in Britain and will be performed by the London-based theatre company Ice & Fire, as part of their outreach programme Actors for Human Rights.
The panel discussion following the play is entitled: “Challenges Facing Young Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Wales: Integration & Positive Images”.
