This course will explore the necessary skills to recognise potential or established Alcohol Related Brain Injury (ARBI), to be able to work with individuals with this condition and make appropriate referral for thorough assessment and care.

By the end of this NewLink Wales course, participants will be able to:

• Explain the common disorders associated with ARBI
• Recognise the signs and symptoms of the potential for, or established ARBI
• Plan for the immediate actions necessary
• Select brief assessment tools that can be used to increase the recognition and management of individuals at risk of ARBI
• Understand the intensive assessment, treatment and ongoing care required to ensure that individuals suffering from this condition are appropriately managed
