This NewLink Wales course is aimed at people who have some knowledge of substance misuse already.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to: 

1. Describe the effects of commonly used substances
2. Analyse the risks surrounding the misuse of substances
3. Identify the main methods of drug use and explore some harm reduction techniques
4. Examine the injection process, analyse risks and explore harm minimisation methods
5. Explore the ‘recovery journey’ and identify appropriate interventions
