At a small additional charge, this 2-day NewLink Wales course can be accredited through Agored Cymru gaining 3 credits and level 3 on the Quality Assured Lifelong Learning Framework for Wales.

This course is aimed at people who have completed NewLink Wales’ Substance Misuse Awareness course and it may also be suitable for people who have some knowledge of substance misuse already. The course will describe the effects of commonly used substances and analyse the risks surrounding the misuse of substances. It will identify the main methods of drug use and explore some harm reduction techniques. In addition it will examine the injection process, analyse risks and explore harm minimisation methods and explore the ‘recovery journey’ and identify appropriate interventions.
