‘A Father for My Son’ play

14th June 2013 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

A hundred years ago, Captain Scott’s Antarctic Expedition ship, the Terra Nova, returned to Cardiff. The expedition had ended tragically, with the death of Scott and four of his men, creating one of the great legends of adventure and heroism of the 20th Century.
Waiting in Cardiff to meet the ship on 14th June 1913 was Scott’s widow, Kathleen and their young son, Peter. Artist, friend of Auguste Rodin, George Bernard Shaw and J.M.Barrie, Kathleen Scott was a remarkable woman in her own right.
During this play you will see and hear the extraordinary and moving story of the woman behind the Antarctic hero. It forms part of the centenary programme for the return of Terra Nova to Cardiff. The play has been well received wherever it has been performed. It has toured UK and recently New Zealand and the Scilly Isles.
