Charity Shop Volunteering Campaign: Opportunities in Cardiff

C3SC is proud to support the Charity Retail Association’s Charity Shop Volunteering campaign. This week, we are highlighting the hard work and achievements of #CharityShopVolunteersWales

The theme for today’s Charity Shop Volunteering Campaign is to highlight the many different causes volunteers are supporting.

The Cardiff Volunteer Centre @C3SC works with and supports charities such as Oxfam, British Heart Foundation, City Hospice and Tenovus Cancer Care to recruit and manage volunteers via the Volunteering Wales platform. Charities on Volunteering Wales that you can volunteer for in Cardiff include:

There are so many reasons volunteers of all ages take on these roles, including to learn new skills, experiences, make friends, and or support a cause close to their heart. Read about Shirley’s experience at British Heart Foundation here.

If you know some of these longstanding volunteers in various shops, why don’t you nominate them for Outstanding Community Volunteer or Volunteer of the Year – one of many award categories, at the upcoming Cardiff Volunteer Awards 2020. You can nominate someone you know that deserves a Thank You.
