Awa Coulibaly
Bashir Noori
Noori has supported C3SC since February 2024, and with a background in graphic design, has helped re-design the Cardiff Volunteer Awards 2024 sponsorship document. In addition, Noori has created several of our promotional videos including ‘I’m a Volunteer’ for which he also stars in as part of the #VolunteersWeek40 campaign. A dedicated individual, Noori is always friendly and happy to help in the office!
Abbas Radaideh
Abbas is no stranger to the volunteering space in Cardiff, starting in 2017 and having volunteered for more than 10 organisations across Cardiff to support community groups and individuals. Abbas’ enthusiasm to help others and get involved always shines through and so when a C3SC event takes place, Abbas will be there to support! “Each time I start a new volunteering role, I am benefiting, so this is my advice to you – to start”, he says. We feel grateful to have Abbas on our volunteer team to support our members!
Affie Alikhani
Narges Akbari
Narges has been volunteering with C3SC since 2022, supporting with uploading items to our WordPress-run website to provide the latest updates in the voluntary and community sector. These items are compiled into a weekly bulletin and Narges has been a large asset to getting the publication together week in, week out. Narges’ dedication was rewarded as she became the winner of the Volunteering-Wales Most Active Volunteer category in the Cardiff Volunteer Awards 2023!
Modesta Nnaemeka
Modesta began volunteering with C3SC in November 2023 as a Digital Communications Volunteer. Alongside completing her Master’s in Strategic Marketing, Modesta has been supporting C3SC with creating digital content and messaging for social media including being involved with the recent #VolunteersWeek40 campaign. She is polite, and always seen smiling whenever she’s in the office, bring a positive energy to everyone at C3SC!
Gareth Rees
Gareth has been a volunteer with C3SC since the Cardiff Volunteer Awards 2023 alongside completing his Journalism degree at the University of South Wales. With a high interest in digital communications and media, Gareth helped to interview several of our winners at the awards, capturing their initial reaction first-hand on camera! Gareth has since supported C3SC in other areas such as radio presenting and video editing.
Jien Teh
Jien initially started as a volunteer with C3SC by sitting on the Cardiff Youth Led Grant Panel, making decisions on what youth projects to fund in Cardiff that are initiated with young people themselves. Jien has also supported C3SC in some case study writing, as well as translating some of our materials into Chinese.
Abdalla Abdalla
Abdalla began volunteering with C3SC in November 2023, using his skills and professional experience as an accountant and accountancy lecturer to support our finance and admin systems. With an eye for detail, Abdalla has provided fresh insights into how C3SC can streamline operations. Recently, he has supported us as a volunteer at the C3SC AGM & Members’ Forum 2023, demonstrating his commitment to supporting C3SC in every way he can.
Catherine Ugbong
Catherine began volunteering with C3SC in April 2024, using her skills as an MSc student in Strategic & Digital Marketing to support our Digital Communications team. Recently, she supported the #VolunteersWeek40 campaign and is now working on supporting C3SC with the Cardiff Volunteer Awards 2024 campaign. Catherine brings a friendly and positive energy to her role as a volunteer, saying, ‘Volunteering is an amazing experience. I have learned new things, boosted my social skills…I feel enriched!’
Andy Gale
Andy has been supporting C3SC for a few years now as our Volunteer Photographer, notably at two annual flagship events – the Cardiff Volunteer Awards, and the AGM and Members’ Forum. Andy is able to capture the beautiful and empowering moments of each event, carefully documenting our members and the community spirit they bring.
