Social Welfare Training has released its August 2025 newsletter for professionals, featuring updates and training opportunities across the welfare benefits landscape. This includes details about Universal Credit: nearly 8 million claimants – Pension age increase proposals – Government policy and vulnerable adults – Changes to the Discretionary Assistance Fund (DAF) and more.
The newsletter also outlines a series of accredited online courses, including: – Introduction to Welfare Benefits (starting 17 September) – Universal Credit – the Tricky Parts (starting 22 September) – Benefits and Mental Health (starting 29 September) – Benefit Appeals (starting 15 October)
All courses are CPD-accredited and include one year’s access to online resources.
