Health inclusion approaches are increasingly being used in the UK to tackle health inequalities and poor health outcomes experienced by specific groups. Health inequalities are avoidable or unfair differences in health across the population. There is a clear need to tackle health inequalities and Welsh Government has committed to doing so in it’s A Healthier Wales plan.
Cardiff and Vale Regional Innovation Coordination (RIC) Hub have pulled together some of the latest innovations in Cardiff and Vale and other areas in Wales that are making the move towards a more equal and inclusive health and social care system.
Please grab a cuppa and enjoy our latest newsletter on Health Inequalities, Inclusion and Inequity in English here or in Welsh here. This newsletter features an array of award winning innovations, case studies on partnership working, tailoring engagement to different communities, looks at the power of education and understanding and more.
Did you know there are 10 RIC Hubs across Wales? Please get in touch if you’d like to collaborate with your RIC Hub to explore any innovative ideas, solutions or simply to reduce duplication of efforts and adopt good practice. We work to integrate health and social care.
