Carers Trust has teamed up with Energy Saving Trust to produce energy saving advice specifically for unpaid carers.

The advice is in the form of interactive online modules. Carers can sign up and go through the modules in their own time and at their own pace.

Carers can find out more from the Carers Trust website – Money & Benefits – Housing & Heating Costs | Carers Trust

Carers can sign up by using this link https://carers.org/energyadvice.

There is also a Welsh language version at https://energysavingtrust.reach360.com/register/7bd8fe13-4425-40cb-9c30-39b68785f72f

Energy Saving Trust are experts in the field and have produced modules that are designed to help busy carers understand:

  • insulation and draught-proofing the home
  • heating systems and controls
  • the risks of carbon monoxide poisoning
  • the Priority Services Register (PSR)
  • energy-efficient appliances, and
  • grants and schemes for insulation and heating improvements.
