BEARs Training 22nd October

Building Early Attuned Relationships, or BEARs, is a new awareness raising training, developed by the Parent-Infant Foundation for Wales and is aimed at trusted adults working or volunteering across the First 1000 days. It is focused on helping everyone who comes in to contact with babies and their families to understand the importance of this stage of development, both now and for future life outcomes. It offers practical ideas that show how we can all play a part in shaping every baby’s story.

This short video, in English and Welsh, explains why BEARs are so important.

This training is in-person, lasts 3 hours and is part of a Wales wide pilot taking place this Autumn

The event for Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan is on Wednesday 22nd October, 09.30 – 12.30 and will take place at the Bute Park Visitor Centre, please click on the link below to find out more and book your free place.

Anyone is welcome, but please be aware that the focus of the training is on awareness raising and you might wish to consider if it is for you if you already have lots of training in, and experience of, parent-infant relationships. We would be interested in your thoughts of course, but the evaluation of your learning will be different to those booking on with no prior knowledge.
