Sub-Sahara Advisory Panel support for Sudan

On April 15th 2023, intense clashes broke out between Sudan military rivals in Khartoum. This has left the city by the Nile in a frantic state with numerous explosions and heavy gun fire stealing the peace of five million inhabitants as well as the country at large. Did you know that according to the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project 1.6 million people have been displaced within Sudan borders and externally? Did you also know that 1,800 individuals have lost their lives since mid-April? So, let’s ask this again: How are you standing with Sudan at the moment?

The Sub Sahara Advisory Panel acknowledges our Sudan brothers and sisters at this time who are in Wales and Sudan. We believe in a world that stands for global solidarity and coming together for each other. The Sudan community will have a fundraising event supported by SSAP on Saturday 24th June at 12:00pm – 2:00 pm at G39. Please access the posters in English and Welsh for more details.

We believe that no one stands alone and at this time we ask that Sudan should have an ally in us all. We also acknowledge reaching out to the Sudan communities in Wales, attending Sudan focused events and keeping updated with the on-ground information from Sudan.
