New Evidence Centre aims to improve health and social care in Wales
A new Health and Care Research Wales Evidence Centre, funded by Welsh Government, is being set up to provide Ministers and other decision-makers with vital research evidence to tackle health and social care challenges facing Wales.
With a focus on addressing a wide range of health and social care needs, the new Centre, due to open in April 2023, will help to ensure that policies and services in Wales draw on findings from the most up to date and rigorous research.

PIRIT Public Involvement toolkit available
A new toolkit, co-developed by public contributors and staff members at the Marie Curie Research Centre and the Wales Cancer Research Centre, aims to support researchers working with the public and is available for anyone to use.
The Public Involvement in Research Impact Toolkit (PIRIT) is a set of pragmatic tools which aim to support researchers working with public contributors. These tools can be used separately or together, and in conjunction with other published public involvement assessment frameworks and reporting tools.
Cancer research support survey
The Wales Cancer Biobank is seeking survey participants to understand the infrastructure requirements of cancer researchers and ensure needs are supported within evolving and challenging landscapes.
The Wales Cancer Biobank would specifically like to ensure that biosample and data provisions and capabilities are optimised to be most useful to researchers.
