Period Poverty Grant

Cardiff Council have a grant available for Period Poverty.

The grant is to support period dignity for those who menstruate from low-income households in Cardiff.

The grant amounts available are limited to £2,000.00 and must be spent by 20th March 2022.

You can buy and distribute;

  • Sanitary Products – tampons, sanitary towels, menstrual cups, reusable sanitary knickers or suitable alternatives
  • Sanitary disposal bags
  • Storage purses / wet bags for use with reusable products
  • Clothing to be provided where a homeless person does not have a change of clean clothing available and menstrual bleeding has stained or soiled clothing.

A minimum of 50% of the spend must be allocated to eco-friendly, reusable and or plastic free products.
