Let’s talk cancer

Over the past four months the Institute of Welsh Affairs has been asking those affected by cancer to share their ideas of how to improve care and treatment in Wales. Their website and submission boxes at health centres across Wales captured over 100 ideas in just six weeks.

Over the summer IWA has worked through the highest rated ideas, spoken with experts and practitioners and are developing these ideas into practical policy solutions for the NHS in Wales.

IWA wants to hear what you think about the ideas, and whether you agree with the practitioners. Throughout the next few weeks they’re publishing the shortlisted ideas on ClickonWales, alongside the practitioner’s responses. Have your say on the ideas by clicking here

IWA wants these ideas to become real changes that will improve care for people affected by cancer. On Thursday 24th September, IWA will be launching their recommendations and putting them to the Deputy Minister for Health, and each of the political parties in the Assembly as part of a panel discussion. This is a free event, but booking is essential. Find out more about the event here.
