Mrs Uzo Iwobi OBE, Race Council Cymru, send a invite to a  meeting to plan for Windrush Day Events in Cardiff at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama 2019.

Race Council Cymru believes that it is vital that Windrush Elders and other Commonwealth migrants their families who arrived during the Windrush era will lead and chair our engagement events.

Mrs Iwobi has asked RCC Windrush Cymru Elders General Secretary Ms Linette Johnson to Chair the meetings to plan their Windrush celebration for 2019 at the Senedd in Cardiff.

RCC’s National Windrush Cymru Elders Chairperson is Mrs Roma Taylor, Vice Chair Mrs Angela Barnes, Treasurer Mrs Iney Alexander – supported by Patrons Mrs Patti Flynn, Mrs Vernesta Cyril OBE, Dr Grace Kerry and Mr Lenn Lawrence. Together they plan to host a national event that is inclusive and respectful to all Windrush migrants in their entirety.

The meeting will be on Tuesday 9th April 2019 at 10am at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama on North Road Cardiff. All Welcome.
