This Cardiff Council training is for care support staff /managers/anyone with an interest in developing awareness of Autism Spectrum Conditions.

The course/workshop will use a combination of PowerPoint presentations, films and group exercises to explore Autism Spectrum Condition.

The course will include:

• The development of awareness of the conditions historically
• Prevalence
• Causes
• The Triad of Impairments
• Commonly occurring conditions/Behaviours associated with Autism
• Theoretical models that help to explain the condition
• Sensory processing
• Behaviour that challenges
• How to help/support people on the Autism Spectrum
