This forum is a chance for managers in Cardiff’s social care sector to engage with the Cardiff Social Care Workforce Development Partnership to discuss the direction of the training and support on offer, to forge links with colleagues and to further your professional development.

Individual meetings will often examine specific topics (as well as regular items & suggestions from participants). During this meeting:

– Mared Llwyd and Llian Morris from the Care Council are going to provide an update on their priorities i.e. Positive Approach: Reducing restrictive practices in Social Care
 – CCSIW Bernard McDonald: Update and information on the Regulation and Inspection of Care services
– UKHCA: Up-to-date information about the current issues facing Domiciliary Care Workers – Yvonne Apsitis
– “Virtual College” looking at e:learning a blended learning approach – Kevin Garlik
