This Cardiff Council training is designed for registered managers of residential homes and managers of domiciliary agencies who may be tasked with carrying out a non-criminal investigation under the Wales Protection Forum Policy.
It is essential that all participants have attended (or completed previously) the POVA Decision Making and Information Sharing training (Level 3) prior to attending this course.
Aims:
To provide Designated Lead Managers and others (as noted above in target group) who may be tasked with managing the POVA process and practitioners who may be tasked with carrying out a non-criminal investigation under the Wales Adult Protection Forum Policy with the skills required to gather and evaluate evidence, prepare reports and provide recommendations which inform the multi-agency POVA decision making processes.

At the conclusion of the course participants will be able to demonstrate an understanding of:
