This WCVA course will give you the opportunity to review good practice in terms of financial policies, consider example formats and structures and discuss with others the pros and cons of existing practices.

All charities require effective financial policies and procedures to enable staff and volunteers to work safely and effectively and reduce the risk of mismanagement or misuse of funds. This course will give you the opportunity to review good practice in terms of financial policies, consider example formats and structures and discuss with others the pros and cons of existing practices.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

• Be aware of good practice in terms of financial policies
• Review existing policies against an organisational policy framework
• Understand legislative factors impacting on financial policies
• Opportunity to share good practice examples
