African Diaspora Women’s Forum: Progress & Challenges Tackling FGM in Wales

This event will provide the Africa community in Wales with a platform for reflection, discussion, sharing and networking as well as the opportunity to help shape the African diaspora women’s role in ending FGM in wales and in Africa.

The day will explore:

  • The history of FGM in Wales
  • Changes in attitudes, actions and social norms of diaspora communities in Wales
  • Perceptions and realities of Diaspora 2nd and 3rd generations in relation to FGM
  • The way forward for Wales

Who should attend?

  • Women from the African diaspora in Wales
  • African diaspora organisations and organisation working with the African diaspora
  • Service providers to African diaspora women
  • Diaspora men are especially welcome!
