Severn Wye (as part of the Energy Advice Training Consortium) has funding* from Welsh Government to provide the course ‘Promoting Energy Efficiency to Potential Customers’ at a discounted price. The full cost of the course is £210 but discounts are available for employed people living or working in Wales (o;rganisations with fewer than 250 people pay just £63 per person; organisations with more than 250 people pay £105 per person). (All prices exclusive of VAT)

The course is a one-day Skills First level 1 qualification called ‘Promoting Energy Efficiency’. This is great for those just starting out in the industry or for those who have a good understanding but need some help in communicating their knowledge to customers. They particularly see this as an important course for any customer-facing staff as it will help them to link measures together providing added service and satisfaction for the customer and opportunity of a cross-sell for the company. This is also an excellent course for any employee as it will help them to take steps to reduce energy in their own homes and to advise colleagues and friends.

Three different aspects of energy efficiency are looked at during the course:

– The reasons for adopting energy efficiency behaviours and the effect these can then have on energy consumption
– The measures and initiatives available to customers to encourage take-up
– Help understanding the effective ways of communicating the information to customers

Additionally, for any businesses with staff living or working in Wales we have funding through Welsh Government to offer the course for £63 or £105 per person dependant on the number of employees within the organisation*.
