New guidance on campaigning in the run-up to elections is here. The Electoral Commission has launched its guidance on the new rules contained in the Lobbying Act. The new guidance includes a document which has been produced together with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, the Scottish Charity Regulator and the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.
So to follow that up, the WCVA is holding a free seminar for WCVA members. The event will look at the new guidance, which examines a range of subjects including:

– Circumstances in which your campaigning activity could be regulated
– The different types of campaign supporters
– Guidance on joint campaigning
– Registering as a campaigner and reporting requirements

And much more besides.
