3-day Diverse Cymru training course

This is a 30-hour training unit, accredited (Level 3) by Agored Cymru, which includes three full 1-day engagement workshops and home study. The other two days are 7 and 14 May.

The aim of this unit is to increase your knowledge and understanding of issues relating to extremism and violent extremism.

You will understand:

– Differing values, views and opinions in society
– Why people become extremists and undertake extremist acts
– How factors in society can affect on the onset of extremism
– How prejudice, discrimination and hatred affects groups within society
– How democratic processes allow for legal protest
– The support mechanisms for individuals who encounter extremist views
