Recovery Framework – From Theory to Practice
A one-day training event for Substance Misuse service staff, managers, volunteers and commissioners
This event is brought to you by NewLink Wales and Recovery Cymru, working in collaboration to provide a tangible overview of the Recovery Framework for Wales – also known as Substance Misuse Treatment Framework Recovery Oriented Integrated Systems. Throughout the event they will be answering the question…
What does the Recovery Framework for Wales mean to me?
This is a full and meaningful exploration of what recovery is, the many pathways to recovery and the many dimensions the recovery journey can take, and how these best inform a recovery oriented system of care. Our main aim is to encourage the integration of recovery-based principles into front-line practice.
By the end of this course delegates will have achieved the following learning outcomes:
– To understand the concept of the recovery journey
– To understand recovery capital and how this applies to practice
– To gain an appreciation of the broader context of treatment within the recovery journey
– To understand the key concepts of a recovery oriented system of care
– To promote collaborative relationships between treatment providers and service users
– To introduce participants to how the above learning outcomes translate into practice.
– To understand how the Welsh recovery Framework should be applied at an organisational and strategic level.
